Applying for NDIS support
The first step to applying for NDIS support is to contact the NDIS service on 1800 800 110 and make a ‘Reguest for Access’. Along with questions about your identity, residency and eligibility, you will be required to provide written evidence of your disability from registered health professionals.
If you need support to apply for the NDIS you can contact a Local Area Co-Ordinator (LAC) who will walk you through the process and assist you to get together to information you need to complete your application. Find your local LAC.
Once you are approved, you may require a support co-ordinator to assist you to find the services you need and allocate your NDIS funds accordingly. The NDIS will provide you with funds to cover this service if it is required.
